A lone daffodil
Stood brightly
On a cold morn
The first messenger in our lawn
Speaking, without words,
"Spring is nearly here"
She welcomed you
To the world.
You came on Friday,
And left us on Saturday.
But sadly,
You didn't come home.
The daffodil
Stood throughout
As a testimony
To you.
And a few
Knew it
And understood
A connection,
Something.
